Invest in our Work
DCS is a large organization with a sizeable operating budget. Most of our funding, however, is earmarked by various contracts. In addition, the demand for safety net services has increased at the same time that funding has been reduced. For example, this past year DCS served 25% more families who were at risk of losing utility services or housing than in the prior year. Moreover, in recent years without United Way funding to support programs at Dixon House, DCS must find new resources to enhance and even resurrect key programs.
Given this situation, even modest gifts make a real difference, and your investment in our work would be supporting tangible results. Read an example of how help raise the quality of life for people in the community.
Our ability to continue to deliver programs and services, and especially to provide enhancements to these services, is inhibited by limited resources. We have ambitious plans, and are poised to make them happen. Please make a financial gift to help to fuel the daily activities at DCS and to spur on the execution of our future plans.

Hire a Young Person
From first-hand experience we know that many young people are eager to earn money; essential to their well being. DCS will provide support and coaching, if you hire a young person, even for a few hours after school. Families we serve can benefit from clothing, computers, food or furniture. Our center can also benefit from books or other educational materials. If you're interested in donating items, contact????
GoodSearch
Diversified Community Services participates in GoodSearch. GoodSearch is tied into many retail shops that make donations to registered nonprofits, and DCS is one of them. It's very easy to use. Go to www.goodsearch.com to see a list of the partner retailers. Once you're registered, every time you make an on line purchase from a participating store such as Kohl's, Sears, or Staples, the store makes a donation to DCS. Please make sure to choose Diversified Community Services as your nonprofit of choice.
